SOLIDWORKS CAD

I use SOLIDWORKS to make mechanical prints. I begin with producing a 3D model of a part then 2D drawings are generated from the solid model. The creation of various views and sections are extremely accurate because they don't have to be redrawn.

Part Design

I've made parts based on verbal instructions, drawings on graph paper (or even napkins), boxes with pieces of a broken parts, and photos marked with sharpies. I produce working drawings based on the same media.

3D Modeling

I produce 3D models created to be sent to a customer as a parasolid file for their own CAM applications.

Print Review

I review and revise existing prints for their applicability to real world production. It saves time that may be spent requesting additional information and avoids errors in machining due to incomplete or incompatible designs.

Prototype Development

I show people their ideas in 3D. I take client’s thoughts into the print stage and make changes and updates to prints in a timely manner.
